Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort & Marina

You may think you've gone to heaven when you pull up to Island Hideaway at Dhonakulhi Maldives, Spa Resort & Marina. It's one of only three resorts in the Haa Alifu Atoll, and takes up only five-percent of this private island. The rest of it is virgin land - powder white sand, plus tons of coconut and banana trees.

Inside the resort, find six types of accommodation: some "floating" over infinity pools, some with private pools, some right on the beach, and others that sit on stilts over the ocean. The most deluxe are the Hideaway Water Suites. Each with their own sea-view spa room, including sauna, steam room, and an outdoor bathtub.

Here, private chefs are at your disposal for in-room or in-restaurant dining. If you happen to venture out, be sure to check out the largest whiskey collection in the Indian Ocean. After that, you may require a spa treatment at the Hideaway Spa, with its internal waterways and waterfall walls.

If only you could be marooned here forever!

Travaasa Hana, Maui, Hawaii

On the quieter side of Maui, visitors will find the peaceful retreat of Travaasa Hana, where true Hawaiian heritage waits to be discovered. One of the last unspoilt parts of Hawaii. Travaasa Hana, located at the end of the famed "Highway to Hana," is well worth the trip.

Rooms at the Travaasa Hana are designed in traditional but luxurious Hawaiian style, with hardwood floors, indigenous art, and bamboo mats. Sea Ranch and Bay Cottages have private gardens, hot tubs, or ocean views. Best of all, there are no TVs or radios to interfere with the sounds of the surf... Bliss!

Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa

Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa, on a tropical island in the North Huvadhoo Atoll, is a luxury retreat of modern design delight amidst the vast ocean and island glory that is the Maldives. With its renowned tropical vegetation, infinite views of white sand beaches against an endless azure sea, and some of the world's finest diving reefs at your feet, the Maldives is a true visual masterpiece and as magnificent a destination as one will ever find.

The Park Villas of Park Hyatt Maldives, Hadahaa take this natural beauty to a whole new level of luxury. The resort's design is as pristine and unspoilt as its island environ; an architectural delight that floats congruously and protectively within its natural surroundings.
