A Beach Cottage
Call me a bit behind the times but I have recently discovered the gorgeous little blog, A Beach Cottage. Published by Sarah, an advocate for winging it and not worrying about perfection, she loves to combine coastal, cottage and country for her unique Beach Cottage style. She shares her projects, decorating ideas and ways to achieve a comfortable and casual home without spending a fortune.
Here are the results of her renovations to the run down old beach cottage that she bought with her husband with a mission to decorate the cottage-near-the-sea with a mixture of old vintage finds scoured from the beachside suburbs, and painted everything she could in a tried and tested hand mixed beach white, added piles of white linens, striped cotton rugs and heaps of vintage china…

Heidi Middleton from Sass & Bide's Home
Check out Heidi Middleton from Sass & Bide's amazing home in Sydney's Palm Beach...even the toilet has a million dollar view!
Built in the 1940s and at one point occupied by a flamboyant gay fashion designer and a celebrated Australian painter, the house resembles an Italian terraced villa. The entire front of the house facing the bay is open, basking in sunlight throughout the day and displaying breathtaking sunsets at dusk.
There is plenty of design inspiration in this tastefully styled abode!

DIY Beach Sign
Check out this gorgeous DIY beach sign. All you need is an old white fence picket and some chunky white letters.
What a great (and cheap) way to fill that empty wall space!
